Carolyn Copeland Designs

photoThe Shooting Star began from a desire to own a bead and jewelry store.  I bought the store name, decorations, and the artisans stayed with me.  It was a great way to present my creations and the local people’s art.

I took beading classes in Alaska in 2002, and loved creating my own designs.  I worked for Gene Zesch, Mason’s famous local cowboy characters artist, from 2006-2011.  He taught me to carve and paint on bronze.  My designs are made from semiprecious stones such as Jasper,  Turquoise, Quartz, Pearls, Swarovski Crystals, Lapis, Amethyst, etc.   I recently bought a kiln to produce silver and bronze crosses, key chains, designed from my wood carvings.   I am proud of my most recent creation of a wood-carved Mason key chain.
